General Sales Manager
Doncaster
£30,000 - £35,000 plus performance related bonus scheme
We have an opportunity for someone who has worked within a product driven market to manage and drive the performance of our client’s internal and external sales teams.
You will be involved with:
• Managing, motivating and coaching a pro-active team of internal sales account managers and external field sales staff in the pursuit of defined sales objectives
• Motivating staff to exceed their revenue targets
• Identifying areas for development within the team and providing appropriate training, coaching and support
• Developing a thorough understanding of the company, its products and services and to maximise multiple product sales / customer spending potential and helping to identify and exploit gaps in the market
• Managing the efficient handling of customer orders and enquiries by working closely with other function managers within the company
• Conducting campaigns and specific weekly/monthly focus calls
• You will also lead from the front and manage some key accounts
Essential Requirements
• You will have a successful track record and experience of managing a busy sales office – you will need to be used to managing upwards of 12 internal staff
• Experience of selling to stockists and distributors
• You will have been responsible for high volume, multiproduct sales and managed internal and external sales people
• Extensive performance management experience
• You will have a good standard of education (Degree level preferred but HND, BTEC and over considered), have product sales marketing experience and possess a full driving license
• Be looking for a sales management role with the potential to develop to Sales Director
