37-hour workweek with flexible working around core hours (10:30 am - 4:00 pm)

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be required to:

·      Prepare financial statements and tax returns for small to medium-sized businesses

·      Perform corporation tax calculations, VAT returns, and management accounts

·      Engage in client interaction and provide excellent customer service

·      Train apprentices and support their development

·      Take on additional responsibilities such as payroll and company secretarial duties

 

Candidate:

·      Minimum of 3 years experience in an accountancy practice

·      Proficient in cloud-based bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and Xero

·      Experience with Sage 50, Iris, and Sage Business Cloud is advantageous

·      Proficient in written and technical skills

·      Strong prioritisation and organisational abilities

·      Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

·      AAT qualified or similar

·      Open to offering a training contract with ICAEW or ACCA for further career progression
