As a BDM, you will be required to:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with commercial clients, including developers, house builders, and architects
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key decision-makers
  • Promote the company’s renewable energy solutions, highlighting cost and energy-saving benefits
  • Generate leads through networking, site visits, outreach, and industry events
  • Follow up on warm leads and convert opportunities into confirmed contracts
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals and quotations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close deals in line with company targets
  • Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered as promised
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, tracking opportunities and client engagement
  • Consistently meet or exceed agreed sales targets

 

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proven experience in business development, ideally within the renewables, construction, or HVAC sectors
  • Strong network of contacts among house builders, developers, and commercial decision-makers
  • Knowledge of Solar PV and/or Heat Pump systems
  • Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Desirable:
  • Experience supporting clients in specifying renewable energy systems at design stage
  • Understanding of government incentives and regulations related to renewables
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management

 

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm

Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 Basic (£75-80k OTE)
