Below you will find some tips we have compiled to help you with the process!
What makes you stand out?
We are all individuals and have things that make us unique and different which makes us stand out from the crowd, both in a work and a professional capacity.
Look at your CV, achievements, skills and interests and think about what makes you, YOU.&nbsp;
Understand the role.
What matches the job description to you?
Go through the job description and highlight the keywords and phrases that are relevant both to the job and to yourself. This will help give you a further understanding of what to expect from a day-to-day basis in the role, allowing you to display how you are the perfect candidate.
Research the company
Learn more about the company, check out their website, look on LinkedIn - do your homework.

<li dir="ltr">When did they start?</li>
<li dir="ltr">How many staff do they have?</li>
<li dir="ltr">What is the latest news or interesting fact about the company?</li>
</ul>
Prepare any questions
Every interview ends with the opportunity for you to ask questions, you should never waste this opportunity. After all, you need to make sure that the company is right for you, just as much they are interviewing you to make sure you are the right fit for them.
It can feel overwhelming when the interviewer asks, &ldquo;Do you have anything you&rsquo;d like to ask us?&rdquo;
Our advice would be to preparing at least 3 questions you would like to ask at the end of the interview.&nbsp;
Think about what is important for you to know about the role or company.&nbsp;
Good things to ask are&hellip;

<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;What are you looking for in a person?&rdquo;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;What type of person would fit into the team?&rdquo;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;Is the role due to growth?&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;What is the office culture like?&rdquo;&nbsp;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;What development and training opportunities are available?&rdquo;&nbsp;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;What does success look like in this role, within the first 3-6 months?&rdquo;</li>
</ul>
Conduct practice interviews
If you haven&rsquo;t had an interview for a while, do a few practice interviews with yourself, or if you can get someone to do one with you, even better!
This will help you get used to answering the questions confidently and how you will react to different questions.&nbsp;
Some questions which you might be asked and worth putting some thought into include:

<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;Describe a time you&rsquo;ve faced a challenging situation and how you turned it around&hellip;&rdquo;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;Why are you looking to leave your current role?&rdquo;</li>
<li dir="ltr">&ldquo;Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?&rdquo;</li>
</ul>

Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) is your ticket to landing your dream job. It's your first impression to potential employers, so it's important to make it count and use it as a way of selling yourself, highlighting your skills and experience and making it count.&nbsp;
Here we will offer you some valuable hints and tips to help you write a standout CV that grabs the attention of recruiters and employers and showcases your qualifications effectively.
Start with a Strong Summary
Begin your CV with a strong summary or objective statement. This section should provide a snapshot of who you are professionally and what you're looking for in a job. Use this opportunity to highlight your most relevant skills, experiences, and career goals.
Tailor Your CV for Each Job Application
One size doesn't fit all when it comes to CVs. Customise your CV for each job application or write a cover letter to highlight your experience that fits and aligns it with the specific job requirements and company culture. Highlight experiences and skills that are most relevant to the position you're applying for.
Emphasise Achievements Over Duties
Rather than listing your job duties, focus on your accomplishments in each role. Use quantifiable achievements, such as "increased sales revenue by 30% in six months" or "managed a team of 10 employees," to demonstrate your impact. This gives potential employers a clearer understanding of your contributions.
Highlight Key Skills
Create a dedicated section to showcase your key skills. Include both hard skills (e.g., programming languages, data analysis) and soft skills (e.g., communication, teamwork). Tailor this section to match the requirements of the job you're applying for.
Keep it Concise
While it's essential to provide enough information to impress potential employers, avoid overwhelming them with excessive details. Stick to the most relevant and recent experiences, keeping your CV to two pages if possible.&nbsp;
Include Education and Certifications
List your educational background and any relevant certifications or qualifications. Include the name of the institution, the degree earned, and the date of completion. If you're a recent graduate with limited work experience, you may want to place this section near the top of your CV. 
Showcase you&rsquo;re interested and any activities you do out of work
Mention things such as volunteering, clubs, or projects etc These experiences can demonstrate valuable skills and qualities beyond your work history.
Proofread and Edit
Before submitting your CV, proofread it and make sure there are no grammatical errors or inconsistencies.
Use a well-organised format, make sure your font style is consistent use bullet points for easy readability. Most importantly &ndash; make sure your contact information is up-to-date and professional in tone (if you have an old email address that is a little out there&hellip;make a new one)
A polished and well put together CV shows attention to detail and professionalism. This is the first impression to any potential new employer and a way to showcase yourself, your experience, and skills. Keep it tailored, concise, and well-organised, and don't forget to highlight your achievements and skills.&nbsp;

Eco-Power Recruitment has been shortlisted for 3 awards!

Eco Power Recruitment is delighted to announce that we have chosen Eve Merton Dreams Trust as the recipient of our first-ever charity fundraiser!&nbsp;
The Eve Merton Dreams Trust was founded in early 2011. It is a non-profit organisation that donates the money it raises to help create a Dream or grant a Wish, for both patients &amp; families impacted by terminal &amp; serious Cancer conditions.
In order to raise money for this fantastic cause the Eco Power team have pledged to walk the equivalent&nbsp;of 230 miles (The distance from Doncaster to Scotland!) with the last 4 miles of the trip from our office to the Eve Merton Head Office.
At Eco Power, we are keen to highlight the great work the trust does for the community of Doncaster and raise as much money as possible so they can keep up the life-changing work they do.
