Doncaster, onsite.

Full time, Permanent.

£18 – £23 per hour (DOE)

Monday – Friday (Some weekend working required)

We have a vacancy for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business in Doncaster site. This is a site-based, stationary role where the engineer remains on one site, working on a fleet of mobile plant equipment. This position is specifically for a heavy mobile plant fitter and is not suitable for car mechanics. The successful candidate will have proven experience working on heavy plant machinery and be confident diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of equipment.

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for: 

Service, maintain, and repair mobile plant equipment, including:

• Loading shovels
• 360 grabs
• Forklift trucks (FLT)
• Telehandlers
• Other heavy mobile plant
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related faults
• Use diagnostic software to identify and troubleshoot issues
• Repair hydraulic systems, including rams and hoses
• Carry out axle repairs and general mechanical work
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required
• Complete planned servicing and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a mobile plant fitter (heavy plant experience essential)
• Strong diagnostic capability using relevant diagnostic software
• Experience working on a wide range of mobile plant machinery

Competent in:

• Engine fault diagnosis and repair
• Hydraulic systems and leak repairs
• Ram and axle repairs
• Welding
• Routine servicing and maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

This role is not suitable for car or light vehicle mechanics
