Hours: Monday – Friday

 

Our client is a well-established independent building services contractor delivering mechanical and electrical solutions across a range of sectors including commercial, leisure, healthcare, education and industrial projects.

 

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who has progressed from the tools into project management and retains strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and HVAC systems.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of air conditioning projects from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

As an Air Conditioning Project Manager, you will be responsible for: 

·        Deliver AC/HVAC projects from start to handover

·        Plan and manage labour, subcontractors, materials, and plant

·        Act as main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams

·        Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures

·        Manage programmes, method statements, costs, and variations

·        Carry out site inspections to monitor quality and progress

·        Oversee commissioning, snagging, and final documentation

·        Provide technical support to site teams and junior staff

·        Coordinate closely with mechanical and electrical teams

 

The ideal candidate will have:

·        Proven experience as an Air Conditioning / HVAC Project Manager

·        Trade background as an AC engineer

·        Strong technical knowledge of VRV/VRF and split systems

·        Experience in commercial and/or industrial projects

·        Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills

·        Full UK driving licence

 

Qualifications

·        Recognised AC or refrigeration apprenticeship

·        NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

·        Current F-Gas Category 1

·        SMSTS or SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)

·        Relevant CSCS card

 

Desirable

·        M&E contracting experience

·        Familiarity with project management or planning software
