£15.00 p/h increasing to £17.00

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be required to:

• Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance and refurbishment on rail vehicles and associated components
• Work from engineering drawings and technical documentation to complete mechanical assemblies and repairs
• Inspect, strip, repair and reassemble rail components to a high standard
• Work safely and efficiently within a workshop environment while maintaining quality standards
• Support the team with a variety of mechanical engineering tasks across rail equipment and systems

The ideal candidate will be:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the rail or heavy engineering sector industry is desirable but not essential
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Adaptable and able to work on a range of rail components and assemblies
