As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be required to:

• Carrying out mechanical fitting, maintenance, and refurbishment on rail vehicles and associated components
• Working from engineering drawings and technical documentation to complete assemblies and repairs
• Inspecting, stripping, repairing, and reassembling rail components to a high standard
• Maintaining safe working practices while ensuring quality standards are consistently met
• Supporting a variety of mechanical engineering activities across rail equipment and systems

The ideal candidate: 

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the rail or heavy engineering industry (desirable but not essential)
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across a range of components and assemblies
