As an Estimator, you will be responsible for:

  • Respond to customer enquiries and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive quotations for modular electrical installations and prefabricated systems
  • Produce take-offs and pricing for containment, wiring systems, switchgear, lighting, power distribution, and associated electrical works
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturing teams to secure best-value pricing and lead times
  • Develop and present comprehensive tender submissions and commercial proposals to clients
  • Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance standards
  • Support the coordination and commercial management of projects from tender stage through to completion
  • Assist with procurement activities and contribute to overall project delivery
  • Maintain organised records of estimates, quotations, supplier pricing, and project documentation
  • Collaborate with operational and design teams to ensure estimates align with installation methods and manufacturing processes

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in electrical, M&E, or modular estimating, ideally within commercial, industrial, modular build, or off-site construction sectors
  • Strong understanding of estimating processes, cost control, and electrical installation methods
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and coordinated design information
  • Knowledge of modular construction or prefabricated electrical systems would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills when liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Proactive and motivated individual with a willingness to learn and develop within a growing business
  • Computer literate and confident using estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and digital project tools
  • Understanding of current electrical regulations and industry standards is desirable
