We're looking for a skilled and motivated Fire & Security Installation & Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality installations, servicing, and fault finding across a wide range of electronic fire and security systems.
As a Security & Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for:
· Install, commission and maintain CCTV systems, Access Control systems, Alarm systems, and Fire Alarm systems.
· Diagnose and rectify faults on fire and security systems.
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
· Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
· Install and service Fire Extinguishers as required.
· Install, configure and maintain Public Address (PA), Voice Alarm and Lockdown Systems as required.
· Assist with Emergency Lighting testing and associated life safety systems as required.
· Support the installation of integrated security solutions including networked and IP-based systems.
· Complete commissioning documentation, service reports, risk assessments and all associated paperwork accurately and on time.
· Liaise professionally with customers, providing technical advice and excellent customer service.
· Participate in the company's out-of-hours on-call rota.
· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
The ideal candidate will be:
· Minimum of 5 years' experience within the Fire and Security industry.
· Proven experience installing, servicing and fault finding on, CCTV systems, Access Control systems, Intruder Alarm systems, Fire Alarm systems.
· Experience with both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
· Good knowledge of IP networking and network-based security systems.
· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
· Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry best practice.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
