We are seeking a skilled 4x 360 Machine Operator to join a well established company in Doncaster.
- 2x Night Shift Machine Operators | 6pm – 6am | 4 on, 4 off rota
- 2x Days Shift Machine Operators | 6am – 6pm | 4 on, 4 off rota
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including the 360 excavator, to assist with various earthmoving and excavation tasks on-site. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to large-scale projects that require precision and efficiency. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and relevant experience in operating heavy equipment, with a preference for those with commercial driving licences.
As a 360 Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Operate the 360 excavator safely and efficiently across diverse construction sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with earthmoving, grading, lifting, and loading activities as required by project specifications.
- Coordinate with site managers and other team members to execute tasks accurately and within deadlines.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment.
- Utilise additional equipment such as lorries or specialised machinery when necessary for project completion.
- Maintain detailed records of machine usage, inspections, and any repairs carried out.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in operating 360 excavators or similar heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues and perform minor repairs.
- Valid commercial driving licence is desirable, enabling operation of related vehicles on-site or between locations.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks and operate machinery for extended periods. This role is ideal for individuals committed to safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship within the construction industry.
